Per capita taxes:
Per head tax levi
upon residents over age 18 residing in the borough.
At face the tax is $10 per year
The
school district per capita tax( $10)
is billed July 1.
There is a total of $10 per person in per capita tax
billed in July.

Taxes:
Real estate taxes are billed currently twice a year.
Borough and County: March 1 and School District July
1.

bill show a regular payment stub and three installment
payment stubs?
HOMESTEAD ACT
Home owners who are eligible for the Homestead Act will have
two payment options.
1. Pay one payment at discount , face, or penalty
2. Pay three payments - due July 31, September 30, and
November 30 at face value. -Late installments are paid at penalty
Taxpayers elect the three payment
system by paying the first installment prior to July 31.

Information for prior year's taxes is only available from
the Mercer County Court House- call 724-662-3800
All unpaid taxes after December 31 each tax year are
reported to the Mercer County Court House.
Mercer County attempts to collect all unpaid taxes.
Call the Mercer County Court House to arrange payment at
724-662-3800 after December 31.

For per
capita tax exoneration - send me a letter
indicating you have moved out of the borough. .
Include the date you moved
and your new mailing address.
I will notify the Mercer County court house who is
responsible for changing the tax records.

There is a $15 fee for tax certifications. There
is also a $15 fee to research and report whether taxes are
paid.
There is no fee for tax information or copies of tax bills
for Mercer Borough homeowners and residents
